Typhoon Haiyan / Yolanda. Support Bantayan island while doing your Christmas shopping!

Dear reader,

long time no see..but now I have to reactivate this blog. This year I spent my holidays on the Philippines. Together with a local Biology teacher we wanted to establish a project to rise eco-awareness among the children of Bantayan Island and if successful expand it to other islands. Unfortunately the typhoon Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) hit Bantayan in the meantime so we had to adjust the scope of our project. Now the money is spent for food, medication and temperature tents rather than a functional recycling system. Therefore we collaborate with a small Austria based organization. In fact Bantayan Island is one of the most impacted regions by the typhoon Yolanda and even today weeks after the typhoon the situation is still very critical, especially due to the heavy tropical rainfalls.

I know that many of you live on a tight budget but maybe you use some of your money to shop on platforms like Amazon to buy Christmas presents for your beloved ones. By visiting Amazon over this affiliate link you donate 5% of your order (maximum 10€) to our little organization. The good news is there are absolutely no additional costs for you!

Please have a look at the facebook page to see what actually happens with your money:

Thanks for your time and support! Please contact me if you have any questions or comments.

Best Regards,
